We are seeking a highly motivated and independent HR & Recruiting Manager to establish and lead our Kuala Lumpur office. This role is critical in hiring top-tier talent, managing employee relations, and ensuring smooth office operations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of Malaysian work culture, labor laws, HR processes, and is ready to set up an office in Kuala Lumpur.

Key Responsibilities

  • Office Management & Engagement: Find office space and set it up, and later oversee daily operations of the Kuala Lumpur office, ensuring a productive and efficient work environment. Promote a strong company culture in the Kuala Lumpur office, supporting employee well-being and professional development.
  • Talent Acquisition & ATS Management: Lead recruitment efforts for various roles in Malaysia, identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent, coordinating the hiring process and ATS management in Greenhouse.
  • HR Administration & Compliance: Ensure all HR policies and procedures align with local regulations and company standards. Manage employee onboarding, contracts, benefits, and compliance with Malaysian labor laws.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary HR contact for Malaysian employees, addressing concerns, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring engagement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR and management teams globally to align recruiting and employee management strategies with company goals.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia labor laws, employment regulations, and HR processes.
  • Experience in talent acquisition and workforce planning.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Greenhouse to manage hiring workflows efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage office operations.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Melayu and English.
  • Good to have also Mandarin skills.
  • Familiarity with HR software and recruitment tools is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy, adaptable, flexible, and willingness to take on new challenges
