HID Global is seeking a People Partner based in Johor, Malaysia, to enhance the employee experience and manage HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. This role is crucial for supporting over 800 employees and requires a Bachelor's in HR, along with experience in a dynamic, boosting HR effectiveness within a manufacturing context.

Our newly remodeled “People Partnering” function is a global team of HR professionals, working geographically whether at site, in country or by region to deliver core HR advisory responsibilities across the full employee lifecycle.

Based at our site in Johor, Malaysia this role supports 800+ number of people and is a valuable contributor to the organization. Together with our HR team of 5, you will have oversight and accountability for the full employee lifecycle activities including:
As a People Partner working with our site, you will:
Recruitment and Selection: manage the full spectrum of direct labor recruitment including recruitment of local talents and migrant workers. Develop hiring strategies for direct labors and partner with relevant parties to support the strategies. Manage the process of migrant workers quota application with the local government authorities. Lead the migrant workers recruitment process including getting the involvement of the appointed local recruitment agencies recognized by the local government authorities. Prepare and update hiring status report for the Management in a timely manner.
New Hire Onboarding: ensure a comprehensive employee orientation and onboarding experience for new and acquired employees.
Off Boarding: As with our welcome, our goodbye is also a professional experience through tailored outplacement support, pre-retirement planning and exit interview discussions that are handled with curiosity and a learning mindset. Work with managers for retention strategies.
Managing Performance: institute consistent practices that ensure all colleagues and their managers are fully engaged in the performance management process. Promote and provide training on how to utilize our continuous performance tool to foster regular feedback and conduct frequent goal reviews. Support the creation of performance improvement plans and training needs analysis where required.
Employee Relations: support in managing employee relations matters, providing advice and mitigating the creation of formal employee relations issues where possible. A comprehensive working knowledge of relevant labor laws, investigation protocols, employee consultation processes and conflict resolution strategies are needed.
Career Development: support managers and employees with guidance and resources to enable rich career development conversations.
Legal Compliance: ensure labor legal compliance practices are aligned with the conduct of recruitment agencies engaged by the Company.
HR Policies: participate in the development, implementation and review of human resources policies and procedures for the Company in line with legislative and business requirements.
SOCSO Case Management: handle SOCSO claim cases for employees and ensure all claims are in accordance with related legislation.
HR Reports: maintain and update relevant HR records accurately in HR database in a timely manner.
Your background includes:
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma with a focus in Human Resources (preferred)
Proven and progressive experience gained in HR especially in manufacturing or other equivalent roles with transferable skills
Skilled at navigating and influencing through a matrixed organization
Proven ability to collaborate across the organization, build strong relationships and become a trusted partner to relevant stakeholders
Familiarity of local labor laws
Fluent speaking and written English and Bahasa Malaysia is highly preferrable.
Excellent interpersonal skills, meticulous, organized, self-starter and team player.
Computer Skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Knowledge of HR systems: SAP Success Factors would be highly advantageous
