Job description

Our Client was incorporated in 1960 and is listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities. They produce up to 120,000 barrels per day and are the second largest refinery in Malaysia. Operating in Port Dickson, they boast a growing team of 500 employees. In line with business requirements, they are seeking a HR Manager as part of continuous improvement drives. You will take on the critical and exciting role of driving HR excellence in the company.

Compulsory Experience

Knowledgeable in the full spectrum of HR including creation of the Corporate Organizational Structure, HR Policy and Processes, Payroll, Performance Management, Job Evaluation, Succession Planning, Talent Management & Talent Resourcing.

What You Will Do
  1. Lead & drive the full spectrum of Human Resource, building all the basic foundations of the HR Functions which includes creation of the Corporate Organizational Structure, HR Policy and Processes, Payroll, Performance Management, Job Evaluation, Succession Planning, Talent Management & Talent Resourcing.
  2. Able to implement Job Evaluation Framework and Job Competencies Outlines to all department to maximise performance i.e. individual performance and department sustainability.
  3. Revising the rule for succession planning to lower down attrition rate while creating contingencies.
  4. Engagement with organisation changes and development in improving Organisation Charts, Appraisals-Talent Development, Promotions-Talent Progression, salary structure calibration in accordance with market practices (Compa-ratio on market analysis), performance redefinition, etc.
  5. Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Studies and implements legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
  6. Develops & implements International Mobility policy for Expatriates in Malaysia, and to act/support as the focal points for all Immigration related matters for Expatriates in Malaysia.
  7. Drive talent acquisition and manage mid to high-level technical and non-technical roles. You will play an important role in knowledge transfer and creation of talent sourcing & acquisition strategies.
What You Need:
  1. Bachelor degree with at least 7-10 years’ HR experience in a leadership position, preferably in the Oil & Gas or technical industry.
  2. Knowledge of HR strategic and business planning frameworks, principles, and techniques.
  3. High level of analytical and performance management skills and ability to pay attention to detail.
  4. Sound knowledge of project and change management with the ability to demonstrate support for innovation and for organizational changes needed to improve the organization's effectiveness.
  5. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  6. Excellent communicator in English. Competency in Mandarin will be a strong added advantage.
What's On Offer:

Offered Salary: Up to RM 18,000

Working hours: 40 hours spread over 5 days a week
