HR Manager - Food Manufacturer (Willing to work in Simpang Ampat)

Our client, located in Simpang Ampat, Penang, is a supplier of dates, nuts, dried fruits, and a variety of superfoods across the Southeast Asia region.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Identify staffing needs, post job ads, screen resumes, schedule interviews.
  • Onboarding: Prepare documentation, set up accounts, conduct orientation and training.
  • Payroll: Manage leave, overtime, claims, and KPI data; process payroll and issue pay slips.
  • Appraisals: Oversee performance reviews, gather feedback, and facilitate improvements.
  • Training & Team Building: Coordinate training (product, food safety) and team-building activities.
  • Employee Welfare: Manage health assessments, insurance, and vaccinations.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and labor laws.
  • Security & Attendance: Monitor fingerprint attendance, CCTV, and security systems.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with various tasks like event organization, stock purchasing, and peak-season support.
  • Delegation: Supervise HR team, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Government Liaison: Communicate with government agencies (SOCSO, FMM, MITI, etc.).
  • General Oversight: Manage the company during senior management absence and enforce HACCP/GMP standards.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Social Sciences or related field.
  • Experience in HR and administration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian labor laws.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
