Key Responsibilities:
HR Strategy & Policy Development
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks tailored to manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian labor laws (Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, etc.) and company standards.
- Lead organizational development initiatives to support business growth.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment for manufacturing roles (operators, engineers, managers).
- Develop employer branding strategies to attract skilled talent in the local market.
- Manage work permits/foreign worker quotas (if applicable).
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor on disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Promote a positive work culture through engagement programs and communication strategies.
- Handle industrial relations (IR) matters, including union negotiations (if required).
Performance & Compensation Management
- Design and implement performance appraisal systems aligned with business goals.
- Manage compensation structures, including salary benchmarking and incentive schemes.
- Administer benefits programs (EPF, SOCSO, medical, bonuses).
Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and coordinate training programs (technical & soft skills).
- Support leadership development and succession planning.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Oversee payroll, attendance, and HRIS (if applicable).
- Ensure proper documentation for audits and legal requirements.
Requirements:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields. Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in an HR Manager role.
- HR Expertise: Proficient in job analysis and HR optimization, with hands-on experience in at least three of the following areas: recruitment, training, performance management, IR/ER, B&C and compensation.
- Core Skills: Demonstrated ability in employee performance coaching, salary negotiations, 360-degree interviews, IDP development, job description writing, and competency modeling.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of HR theories, industry trends, and labor laws.
- Professional Background: Experience in large-scale manufacturing or production-oriented enterprises. Prior experience in Chinese enterprises is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, adaptability, cross-departmental collaboration, and professional acumen.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin English, and Malay. "We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will participate in the group's global HR development strategy"
