Job description

We are looking for a:

HR Manager – Transformation & Advisory (New COE Pillar)

About the Company
Our client is a well-established, fast-growing organisation operating in the food production and supply sector. Following a recent strategic merger and as part of its broader transformation journey, the company is setting up a new Centre of Excellence (COE) — an internal advisory function designed to support and uplift the HR and organisational practices of the main business unit.

This newly created pillar will function as a strategic hub to advise and modernise people practices, with a focus on long-term sustainability and operational excellence.

About the Role

We are seeking a forward-thinking, transformation-driven HR Manager to lead and shape this newly formed COE. This role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who has deep exposure to the full spectrum of HR functions, including compensation, talent management, policy development, recruitment, and workforce planning.

As the HR Manager of this advisory entity, you will play a key role in reviewing, developing, and advising on HR frameworks and best practices, working closely with senior leadership to build a future-ready people strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and lead the HR advisory COE in alignment with overall business goals

  • Review and modernise existing HR frameworks, policies, and procedures

  • Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits structures

  • Lead succession planning and talent development initiatives

  • Provide direction on recruitment strategies, on-boarding, and employee life cycle processes

  • Offer support and oversight on foreign worker management and payroll coordination

  • Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to align HR practices with organisational needs

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and agent of change in the HR space

Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • Solid experience in full-spectrum HR, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and policy development

  • Demonstrated experience in HR transformation or advisory functions

  • Familiarity with foreign workforce management and on boarding processes

  • Strong understanding of HR compliance and Malaysian labor laws

  • Hands-on execution skills with the ability to think strategically

  • High integrity, a proactive mindset, and strong communication skills

  • Strong communication skills in English and Mandarin required due to business needs to communicate with mandarin speaking employees and upper management.

Why Join?
  • Play a key role in shaping the HR future of a growing, transformation-focused organisation

  • Be part of a newly established COE designed to drive lasting impact

  • Work directly with senior leadership in a high-visibility advisory role

  • Opportunity to build and modernise HR practices with real influence

  • A collaborative work environment

Salary Range: RM8,000 – RM10,000
