Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives that support the plant’s operational objectives, in alignment with Group Human Resources (“Group HR”) strategies.
Act as a trusted advisor to plant management on all HR-related matters, and provide regular reporting to Group HR.
Ensure on-site HR practices are in compliance with Group HR policies and procedures.
Full-Spectrum HR Management. Lead all facets of HR, including:
Strategic manpower planning and effective recruitment strategies.
Proactive employee relations and engagement initiatives.
Expert management of industrial relations, including union negotiations.
Competitive compensation and benefits administration.
Performance management systems that drive employee development and achievement.
Learning and development programmes that enhance employee skills and knowledge.
Policy and Process Improvement
Review, develop, and collaborate with the Group HR team on HR policies and procedures to ensure best practices and continuous improvement, while aligning with group policies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labour laws and regulations.
Employee Relations and Compliance
Manage and advise on disciplinary actions, grievances, employee counselling, transfers, and terminations, ensuring compliance with local labour laws.
Provide expert guidance on all employee-related matters.
Payroll Administration
Oversee or provide hands-on support for payroll administration.
Work closely with the Group HR team on group-wide projects, policies, and initiatives.
Provide timely and accurate reports to the Group HR team.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with unionised experience.
Proven track record of success in all areas of HR management.
Strong understanding of industrial, employee, and labour relations, including relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
In-depth knowledge of local and regional HR best practices within the manufacturing industry.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
