General Description:

This position provides HR planning, analysis, and leadership to BU and plant leaders regarding expansion in Malaysia. The role requires handling multiple priorities within a highly matrixed environment and leading HR efforts for a new plant with a planned headcount of 1500.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support plant transformation and expansion: Provide HR planning and lead the site HR team in executing expansion initiatives.
  • Be the Strategic People Partner: Guide and challenge site leadership to make impactful, people-centered decisions.
  • Drive HR Excellence Locally: Collaborate with Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Management, HR Services) to deliver consistent, high-quality HR support tailored to the plant's needs.
  • Coordinate with Corporate functions (Compliance, Legal, Safety, Government Affairs) on employee-related activities.
  • Champion Employee Relations & Compliance: Utilize deep knowledge of Thai labor law to foster transparent, respectful, and legally compliant employee interactions. Act as the HR representative to regulatory authorities and ensure full compliance with local regulations and labor laws.
  • Activate Culture and Engagement: Implement communication strategies to energize the site and foster a culture of trust, diversity, and belonging.
  • Lead Change & Transform Work: Drive HR initiatives such as workforce planning, performance enablement, and organizational design, acting as a catalyst for transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor industry trends, gather feedback, and evolve HR practices to align with business needs, employee expectations, and global benchmarks.

Professional Experience / Qualifications:

  1. 10+ years of progressive HR experience or management roles, preferably in a multi-national manufacturing plant.
  2. Ability to innovate beyond traditional approaches to improve processes while ensuring compliance with TE values, policies, and local laws. Skilled in risk assessment and compliance management.
  3. Strong knowledge of local laws, regulations, market trends, and best practices.
  4. Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to present confidently to management. Fluency in English, with Malay and Chinese speaking skills preferred.
  5. Ability to work efficiently with quality.
  6. Experience in a multi-national manufacturing environment.
