Job description

Location: Kuala Lumpur, MY

This key role will be responsible for overseeing and leading the HR function across our Malaysian entities, ensuring alignment with our global HR policies and local regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive HR experience and a deep understanding of Malaysian labor laws and practices within the financial services domain. The role also involves data, analytics, and process coordination across all HR functions. The role collaborates with HR and Business DOOs, Coordinators, and Business Managers to align the people agenda. Additionally, the role will work across HR Specialist functions and Strategic Pillars, serving as the central contact for operational activities and supporting key project implementations.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Knowledge of Malaysian labor laws, HR best practices, and trends.
  2. Oversee and coordinate HR core processes such as performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, compensation reviews, employee engagement surveys, and employee lifecycle activities.
  3. Manage talent acquisition processes to attract and retain top talent, ensuring diversity and inclusion.
  4. Ensure compliance with local labor laws, regulations, and company policies; manage relationships with government agencies.
  5. Develop and monitor HR metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
  6. Lead HR initiatives and projects, reinforcing policies and devising solutions within policy frameworks.

  • Familiarity with Bank Negara regulations, HR governance, labor law, ER, and compliance.
  • Experience in local recruitment markets.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in executive reporting.
  • Structured and organized work approach.
  • Hands-on HR management knowledge in a global environment.
