About the Role:
Be the HR Generalist Lead for the Malaysia office, supporting a wide range of HR initiatives and processes to ensure smooth HR operations across South East Asia. Collaborate closely with HR Partners, Business DOOs, Coordinators, and Managers to align activities. Take an active role in implementing key projects.
- Manage HR operational responsibilities, including policy development in line with local regulations, procedural enforcement, process and system management, and compliance with daily HR matters.
- Partner with and advise business leaders on people and team issues, managing the entire employee lifecycle.
- Work with stakeholders to deliver HR advisories, provide seamless support, implement HR practices, and devise solutions within policy frameworks.
- Participate in and contribute to HR improvement projects.
- Serve as the local HR contact for business stakeholders on HR topics.
- Oversee HR governance and manage mandatory processes with regulators.
- Generate reports and deliverables using HR reporting tools like the Workforce Dashboard, and develop reporting solutions for specific needs.
- Identify process gaps proactively and drive continuous HR process improvements.
- Coordinate with experts and ensure follow-up activities are documented and communicated.

About You:
Key skills and knowledge:
- At least 10 years' experience as an HR Generalist in an insurance firm, preferably in an MNC.
- Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local HR governance, labor laws, ER, and compliance, especially related to Bank Negara.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights, including basic statistics.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and independent.
- Excellent communication skills in the local language, with experience in executive reporting and storytelling.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively.
- Hands-on HR experience in a global business environment.
