Working together with the Colleague Resources Director, Asia, in delivering Colleague Resources (CR) operational excellence and the people agenda in Malaysia.
The Colleague (Human) Resources Executive (CRE) plays a vital role in supporting the organization through the development and implementation of CR strategies and programs that foster an employee-oriented, high-performance culture. The CRE is responsible for providing support across various colleague resource functions, with principal responsibilities including:
- Business Partnership
- Establishing strong working partnerships with the business and its colleagues, providing CR services and solutions to support business strategies and objectives.
- Ensuring CR operational excellence through regional and country-specific initiatives.
- Collaborating with the business on staff planning, budgeting, and adherence to approved budgets and headcounts.
- Providing support in all CR and staff-related matters, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Offering advice and guidance on the implementation and interpretation of CR policies, procedures, and documentation, and coordinating the resolution of policy-related issues.
- Supporting employee engagement programs, including Employee Surveys and Excellence initiatives.
Rewards & Systems
- Managing timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Assisting with annual and performance management reviews.
- Participating in CR-related surveys and market research to stay updated on market trends and practices.
- Maintaining CR data integrity and compliance.
Talent Acquisition
- Defining cost-effective recruitment strategies, including advertising and sourcing channels.
- Partnering with hiring managers to meet manpower requirements through recruitment initiatives.
- Assisting in drafting job descriptions.
- Supporting the screening and interview process by providing status updates.
- Building relationships with universities and participating in career fairs.
- Utilizing social media platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook for recruitment.
- Managing applicant tracking, referral programs, and internships.
- Screening resumes and supporting onboarding and orientation programs.
- Maintaining employee database and filing documentation properly.
- Handling the full employment cycle from onboarding to exit.
Training & Development
- Assisting in training needs analysis and planning.
- Sourcing training vendors and managing training programs.
- Coordinating with tertiary institutions for industrial attachment programs.
- Managing training grants such as HRDF.
- Monitoring and evaluating training effectiveness, including pre- and post-training assessments.
- Updating training records and compiling reports as needed.
Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role at the discretion of the CR Director.
Pre-requisites:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software including HRIS.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant HR or colleague resources experience.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
- Diplomatic in handling issues.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to get involved directly in workload.
