Job description

Our client, incorporated in 1960 and listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities, operates as Malaysia's second-largest refinery in Port Dickson, producing up to 120,000 barrels per day. With a growing team of 500 employees, they are seeking an HR Executive (IR & ER) to drive HR excellence and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of HR, with a focus on Industrial & Employee Relations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement ER/IR policies, ensuring alignment and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and follow up on Collective Agreement negotiations.
  • Maintain good relations through regular engagement with stakeholders such as Unions and Senior Staff Council.
  • Participate in Collective Agreement negotiations to meet business needs and gain acceptance from staff and union representatives. Ensure proper implementation of related policies and benefits, keeping up to date with legal and industry trends.
  • Act as the Industrial Relations expert for the company, advising Business Leaders/Managers on IR/ER strategies, policies, and procedures including compliance, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Handle performance management cases, long-term illnesses, and dismissals, ensuring compliance with legislation and developing appropriate responses.
  • Resolve grievances, Code of Conduct complaints, and disciplinary issues fairly and consistently, working with Legal and Labor Department authorities.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • 3-5 years of proven IR/ER experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all employee levels.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Labour Law, Employment Act, and related legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and influencing skills.
What We Offer
  • Salary up to RM7,000.00
  • 40 hours per week, spread over 5 days
