A leading company in engineering and medical technologies is seeking a Human Resources Executive to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals. The successful candidate will manage talent acquisition, employee engagement, and relations, while ensuring compliance with Malaysian labor laws. 1. Strategic HR Planning & Policy Development:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company's strategic objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.
Design, review, and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks in compliance with the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Employees Provident Fund Act 1991, Employees' Social Security Act 1969, and other relevant Malaysian labor laws and regulations.
Advise management on HR-related matters, trends, and legal compliance.
2. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job analysis, job description development, sourcing candidates, interviewing, selection, and hiring.
Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure new hires are smoothly integrated into the company and quickly become productive.
Manage the talent pipeline and succession planning to meet current and future staffing needs.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, disputes, and disciplinary matters, providing fair and timely resolution.
Foster strong employee relations through effective communication, conflict resolution, and promoting a harmonious work environment.
Design and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention (e.g., employee surveys, wellness programs, team-building activities).
4. Performance Management:
Develop, implement, and oversee a robust performance appraisal system that drives high performance, identifies training needs, and supports employee development.
Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance management processes, goal setting, and feedback.
Manage and administer the company's compensation and benefits programs, including payroll processing, salary structures, incentives, bonuses, and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS).
Conduct market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable compensation and benefits packages.
Oversee benefits administration (e.g., medical insurance, leave management).
6. Training & Development:
Assess training needs across various departments and develop comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills, knowledge, and career progression.
Coordinate and facilitate internal and external training sessions, workshops, and leadership development programs.
Monitor the effectiveness of training initiatives and make adjustments as needed.
7. HR Administration & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and secure employee records and HR databases .
Prepare HR reports and analytics to provide insights on key HR metrics (e.g., turnover rates, recruitment costs, employee engagement).
Handle all administrative functions related to HR operations, including leave tracking, attendance, and HR-related documentation.
8. Occupational Safety & Health:
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and monitoring occupational safety and health programs in compliance with Malaysian regulations.
To maintain foreign workers documents and also to upkeep the relevant documents , such as work permit, insurance , and renewal.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CHRP) is highly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of Malaysian labor laws and regulations (Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, EPF, SOCSO, etc.).
Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and data analysis.
Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication (written and verbal in both English and Bahasa Malaysia), interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of integrity.
People-oriented and results-driven with a strong commitment to employee well-being.
