A logistics company in Port Klang seeks an HR Executive to manage foreign worker affairs and ensure compliance with labor regulations and port authority requirements. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in HR, 2–5 years of experience, and strong administrative skills. This role involves supporting HR operations, managing documentation, and facilitating smooth HR administration for local and foreign employees.
The HR Executive is responsible for managing all HR-related activities with a strong focus on foreign worker affairs, statutory compliance, port authority passes and general HR operations. This role ensures that the company remains fully compliant with labor regulations, immigration laws and port authority requirements, while also supporting smooth day-to-day HR administration for both local and foreign employees.
Handle end-to-end management of foreign workers, including recruitment, work permits, visa renewals, medical check-ups and repatriation.
Coordinate with government agencies and immigration departments on worker documentation and approvals.
Maintain up-to-date records of foreign worker contracts, permits and validity timelines.
Support accommodation, welfare and grievance management of foreign employees.
Manage applications, renewals and cancellations of port passes, access cards and security clearances for employees and contractors.
Liaise with port authority and other regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
Ensure all staff operating within port premises meet port security requirements.
Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, immigration rules and port authority policies.
Handle submissions to statutory bodies including labor departments and SOCSO.
Prepare compliance reports and support internal/external HR audits.
Maintain employee records (local and foreign) in HRIS/ERP systems.
Support payroll preparation with accurate timekeeping and statutory deductions.
Handle leave management, medical claims and insurance administration.
Provide HR support for disciplinary issues, grievances and counseling.
Act as the point of contact for foreign workers on HR and welfare matters.
Assist in onboarding and orientation of new employees.
Coordinate employee engagement and welfare programs.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.
2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in logistics, port operations, or industries with large foreign worker employment.
Hands‑on experience in foreign worker management, immigration procedures, and port authority regulations.
Familiarity with statutory submissions and labor law compliance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (multilingual ability is an advantage).
Detail‑oriented with strong administrative and documentation skills.
Ability to liaise effectively with government agencies, port authorities, and embassies.
Good knowledge of HRIS/ERP systems.
