Job summary

A leading company in telecommunications is seeking an HR Operations Specialist to manage payroll and compliance. Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Handle end-to-end monthly payroll processing, including statutory payments and contributions.
  • Maintain and update the payroll system; liaise with vendors to resolve related issues.
  • Manage employee leave records and ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and compliance with leave policies.
  • Coordinate with government bodies and auditors for payroll-related documentation.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, annual, and ad hoc HR reports—including Form E and EA forms—strictly within the required timelines.
  • Prepare HR-related letters, manage staff records, and monitor probation and contract expiry for timely follow-up.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including exit interviews and required documentation.
  • Support recruitment and training activities when needed.
  • Assist in organising company events, including town halls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in HR operations, with exposure to end-to-end payroll processing.
  • Solid understanding of Malaysian employment laws and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, etc.).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling payroll and employee records.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Adaptable and agile, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
