Role Description
The HR Coordinator plays a vital role in our HR team, reporting to the HR Lead and supporting the administration and daily delivery of HR services for all employees and line managers in the Asia Pacific region. This role focuses on employee relations, compliance with the Employment Act, and supporting engagement and retention initiatives. Additionally, the HR Coordinator provides support to other regions when needed and contributes to the development and alignment of HR practices across the team.

Principle Accountabilities:
  1. Provide HR support to employees in Asia Pacific, ensuring compliance with HR procedures, legal requirements, and ISO standards.
  2. Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, including issuing contracts, conducting inductions, managing exit interviews, and maintaining accurate employee records.
  3. Coordinate benefits administration, payroll, absence management, and health and safety compliance.
  4. Process end-to-end payroll for employees across the Asia Pacific region, including Australia.
  5. Ensure payroll compliance with local employment laws and statutory requirements, including Fair Work, ATO regulations, and Superannuation in Australia.
  6. Regularly review and update HR policies, handbooks, and contracts to ensure alignment with Employment Act and statutory requirements.
  7. Maintain HR data in BambooHR, ensuring accuracy for audits and reports.
  8. Support ISO compliance by preparing audits and maintaining documentation standards.
  9. Collaborate with managers to achieve performance goals through BambooHR updates, quarterly reviews, and peer feedback, while identifying opportunities for employee development.
  10. Support employee retention and engagement initiatives by analyzing feedback, planning engagement activities, and recommending actionable improvements to workplace culture.
  11. Support the HR Lead in gathering and maintaining accurate HR data, such as turnover rates and engagement scores, and assist in providing preliminary insights for analysis and decision-making.
  12. Provide direct support to the HR Lead on regional HR projects and initiatives.
  13. Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as requested by management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  2. Ability to build trust and relationships with key stakeholders.
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize own workload.
  4. Experience in an HR administration role.
  5. A working knowledge of business HR practices.
  6. IT literate, proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  7. GCSE/standard grade qualifications or equivalent.
  8. A degree in a relevant subject is desirable but not essential.
  9. CIPD qualification or working towards is desirable but not essential.
