Job Description

We’re looking for a HR Business Partner to join our Southeast Asia HR team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a HR Business Partner, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing the strategic people agenda aligned with business strategies in assigned countries (Malaysia and Philippines). You will advise, inspire and coach business leaders on HR matters in a consultative manner and champion the behaviors and competencies of Signify to drive our business forward.

What you’ll do

More specific accountabilities include the following but are not limited to:

People strategies
  1. Leading the talent management processes to support business strategies
  2. Leading initiatives that improve human capital performance against strategic needs from a workforce planning perspective
  3. Shaping the organizational design and development initiatives around desired capabilities
  4. Shaping the employee value proposition that highlights motivating factors for employees and drives employee engagement through inclusive teams.
  5. Initiating and sustaining changes aligned to business objectives
Operational & Compliance
  1. Translating business and HR agendas into relevant implementation initiatives
  2. Responsible for the execution of local, regional and global plans and policies
  3. Sponsoring and championing initiatives to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of key HR practices
  4. Taking ownership of the optimization of our HR costs/budgets and processes
  5. Driving headcount productivity, based on company and industry benchmarks
  6. Providing one legal framework for all employees in the respective countries including adherence to local laws & regulations
  7. Relationship management and negotiations with Unions/workers councils (if applicable)
Stakeholder management
  1. Guiding country management teams to deliver key people-centric messages to the wider business
  2. Driving the implementation of HR plans to meet stakeholder and business strategy needs
  3. Demonstrating strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective, trusting relationships with stakeholders
Your qualifications
  1. 7+ years of generalist HR experience with demonstrated skills in a HR business partnering position, working with senior leaders in a global, matrix environment
  2. 5+ years’ experience in driving organizational transformations, workforce optimization and productivity
  3. Solid understanding of HR operating model, including COE and HR Shared Service
  4. High level of integrity and independent mind
  5. Solid track record of building relationships with senior stakeholders, building successful leadership teams and developing talents
  6. Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English
