Join our HR team as an Industrial Relations (IR) Assistant and play a pivotal role in fostering positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting conflict resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Industrial Relations Support: Maintain records of grievances, disputes, and resolutions; help prepare documentation for conciliation, arbitration, or disciplinary hearings.
• Compliance & Policy Administration: Ensure adherence to labor laws and company policies; support workplace audits and compliance reporting.
• Employee Relations: Act as a liaison between employees, unions, and management; assist in resolving workplace conflicts and misconduct investigations; guide employees on IR policies, rights, and procedures.
• Administrative & Reporting Duties: Prepare IR reports (e.g., strike incidents, union membership trends); document meeting minutes for disciplinary hearings or CBA discussions; maintain confidential employee IR records.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Degree/Diploma in HR, Labor Relations, Law, or Industrial Psychology.
• Knowledge of labor laws (country-specific, e.g., South Africa’s LRA, Australia’s Fair Work Act).

Experience:

• 1–2 years in HR, IR, or labor law (internships included).
• Exposure to unionized environments (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
