Overview
Oversee the full spectrum of HR including recruitment, L&D, performance appraisal, compensation & benefits, foreign workers management, and related HR activities.
Department Setup and Team Building
- Establish and lead the HR department, including recruiting, training, and managing a team of HR personnel.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and foster a positive work environment.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a fair and timely manner.
Performance Management
- Implement performance management systems to evaluate and improve employee performance.
- Provide guidance and support to managers in conducting performance reviews and setting development goals.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Organize and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and other development activities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain talent.
- Conduct salary reviews and benchmark against industry standards.
HR Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Implement policies and procedures to manage HR-related risks and maintain a safe work environment.
Payroll and Statutory
- Payroll calculation end of month pay for monthly and daily wages; prepare monthly salary reports to Top Management.
- In charge of monthly statutory payments to EPF, SOCSO, IRB and HRDF.
- Prepare monthly manpower and statistics reports.
Foreign Workers Management
- Liaise with Immigration Dept, handling foreign workers recruitment, permit renewal, FOMEMA, KDN interviews, and JCS applications.
- Liaise with Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar embassies for foreign workers recruitment and passport renewal.
- Frequent checks on workers’ hostel and welfare.
- Handle disciplinary issues.
Administration
- Renewals of Company Hostel agreements for local staff.
- Renewals of company vehicles road tax and insurance.
- Staff insurance; manage staff group medical cards (addition, deletion and renewal).
- Prepare internal memos.
Regulatory
- Responsible for department’s ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 documentation and implementation.
- Workwear/ PPE management as applicable.
Lead and coordinate internal HR audits, ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and corrective actions where required.
Liaise with internal and external auditors during audit exercises and provide necessary HR-related reports and evidence.
Carry out any other duties as instructed by superior or Management as required.
