Overview
Lead and supervise housekeeping staffs to ensure cleanliness and hygienic condition of required area are achieved. Ensure all proper protocol, policies and procedures are adhered to.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities.
- Supervise and control delivery and receiving of hospital linen.
- Prepare monthly housekeeping roster.
- Plan and coordinate daily manpower utilization.
- Control and monitor the usage of the housekeeping chemicals.
- Indent housekeeping chemical and related accessories as per required to carry out routine housekeeping job.
- Supervise collection and disposal of clinical waste.
- Prepare and implement a routine maintenance schedule.
- Carry out routine inspection of the job performed by the housekeeping aide. Supervise high dusting, spring cleaning of walls, buffing and waxing of floors.
- Educate and train the housekeeping aide on the proper usage of chemicals, housekeeping techniques and related activities.
- Attend and participate in related meeting and QA program.
- Take necessary steps to improve the housekeeping activities.
- Keep all necessary records in an organized manner.
- Supervise gardener job performance.
- Schedule pest control services.
- Liaise with all outsource vendors i.e. laundry, pest control, clinical waste and general waste in order to make sure no service interruptions and received services as required.
- Prepare and send DOE notes for clinical waste generated on monthly basis.
- Monitor and confirm staffs competency and performance.
- Carry out other duties as assigned or requested.
Education and Requirements
- Diploma/ Certificate in Hotel Management/Housekeeping and related field.
- Supervisory housekeeping background for at least 5 years.
- Cleaning services experience.
- Write and speak in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
