Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara, will be the first Hyatt House hotel in Malaysia and South East Asia. Located in Mont ’Kiara, an affluent suburb five kilometers from downtown Kuala Lumpur, the hotel will feature approximately 298 guestrooms, a three-meal restaurant, 3,100 square feet of meeting space, a fitness centre, and a sky pool. Scheduled to open in 2018, it will be part of Arcoris Mont ‘Kiara, a mixed-use development with business suites, small home offices (“SoHo”), residential units, and retail outlets.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager or Executive to join us in this exciting journey. This position reports directly to the Hotel Manager and requires an entrepreneurial spirit, strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve with employees and guests. The candidate must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and be hands-on, willing to lend expertise across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily and weekly work schedules aligned with business needs and KPIs.
• Train and oversee the Housekeeping team, including Hosts and Lead Hosts, on cleaning procedures, laundry handling, and room preparation.
• Conduct regular checks of rooms, public areas, guest washrooms, F&B outlets, and back-of-house spaces.
• Coordinate with Engineering and contractors on maintenance, linen delivery, laundry, and other operational tasks.
• Plan and schedule periodic maintenance activities such as room blocking, carpet shampooing, and high dusting.
• Manage 'Lost and Found' items, ensuring proper recording and handling according to policies.
