The Hotel Manager at WOLO Kuala Lumpur will be fully responsible for the overall success, performance, and strategic direction of the hotel. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong operational background, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive exceptional guest experience. The Hotel Manager will ensure all functions of the hotel operate smoothly, profitably, and in line wit the WOLO brand identity.
Key Responsibilities:
Set and execute strategic goals to drive business growth, brand positioning, and operational excellence.
Lead the hotel’s short-term initiatives and long-term planning in alignment with group objectives.
Represent WOLO in corporate and public functions as the face of the hotel.
Oversee daily operations of all departments: Front Office, Revenue, Finance, Marketing, HR, Engineering, Housekeeping and Security.
Ensure full compliance with operational standards, policies, and guest service protocols.
Conduct regular management and department meetings to monitor performance and resolve issues.
To prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
To maximize profitability through efficient cost control, revenue optimization, and productivity enhancements.
To work closely with Marcom and Revenue to grow market share and improve RevPAR.
To ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences that reflect WOLO’s brand promise.
Monitor guest feedback (e.g., reviews, surveys) and implement service improvement plans.
Lead by example in engaging with guests and resolving concerns professionally.
Provide strong leadership and development opportunities to all HODs and hotel team members.
Promote a high-performance culture focused on service, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Oversee risk management processes, including health & safety, fire drills, and audit readiness.
Protect and enhance the WOLO brand through innovative ideas, programming, and guest touchpoints.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in a HM or senior leadership role.
Proven track record in managing lifestyle hotels is highly preferred.
Strong leadership, financial, communication, and decision-making skills.
Results-oriented, hands-on leader with high emotional intelligence.
Excellent command of English & Bahasa Malaysia; additional language proficiency is an advantage.
