Job summary

Oceania Hotel Kota Kinabalu is seeking a Maintenance Crew to perform daily inspection and upkeep of hotel facilities and equipment, ensuring rooms and public areas remain in excellent condition. You will handle maintenance requests, basic electrical/plumbing tasks, and preventive maintenance following the schedule, while adhering to safety procedures and working across shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance or related field is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general maintenance works.
• Able to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs independently.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays when required.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily inspection and maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment
• Attend to maintenance requests and repair issues reported by hotel departments
• Perform basic electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, painting and general repair works
• Ensure hotel rooms, public areas and facilities are maintained in good condition
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or facility breakdowns promptly
• Assist in monitoring water, electricity and other utility systems
• Maintain proper records of maintenance work and repairs carried out
• Ensure the maintenance area, tools and equipment are kept clean and organized
• Follow hotel safety procedures and ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely
