Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician. This role responsibilities include maintaining GMP-compliant cleanroom environments and ensuring optimal performance of HVAC systems critical for sterile production. The ideal candidate will have relevant engineering qualifications and significant experience in HVAC maintenance.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced HVAC Technician to support a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining GMP-compliant cleanroom environments and ensuring optimal performance of all HVAC systems critical to sterile production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC systems including AHUs, chillers, air compressors, and dehumidifiers.
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, ISO, and EHS standards.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure production continuity.
  • Support cleanroom environmental controls (Grade A/B/C/D), including HEPA filter integrity and air balancing.
  • Work closely with QA, Production, and Validation teams during qualification and requalification activities.
  • Record and monitor temperature, humidity, and differential pressure in classified areas.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and implement CAPA for any HVAC-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, calibration records, and deviation reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering.
  • 8–15 years of experience in HVAC operations and maintenance in pharmaceutical or biotech environments.
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom classifications, GMP guidelines, and HVAC qualification protocols.
  • Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) and automated HVAC controls is an advantage.
  • Able to speak both Malay and English
