About the Role

This position is a healthcare insights and analytics specialist role in providing timely and accurate data-driven insights facilitating the formulation, implementation and tracking of the Healthcare Division’s strategic initiatives (including the Integrated Healthcare Strategy).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain tools to deliver timely, accurate and actionable insights of business performance
  • Support deep dive analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and value creation
  • Support governance of healthcare data domains and best practices in healthcare analytics

Detail oriented, effective communications and maintain strong working relationships with other stakeholders is important.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Healthcare Performance Management

  • Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards tracking key healthcare indicators to facilitate data-driven business decisions and monitor effectiveness of the execution of strategic initiatives in an accurate and timely basis.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain healthcare dashboards to ensure that data is presented clearly with appropriate visualization to enhance usability and drive actionable insights.
  • Prepare healthcare reports for management and statistical filings

Healthcare Insights

  • Analyze and interpret healthcare data to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities to create value or improve processes
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to derive key insights, including effective data storytelling with business users.

Healthcare Data Governance & Management

  • Support the design and governance of the Healthcare DataMart, which includes the documentation and maintenance of the relevant schemas in collaboration with business subject matter experts, relevant data sources and data transformation.
  • Support the implementation of healthcare data standards, monitoring and resolving data quality issues with relevant internal stakeholders.
Minimum Job Requirements:

Education

  • Degree or above in a numerate discipline, e.g. Actuarial Science, Data Analytics / Data Science, Statistics, Economics

Experience

  • Min 5 - 10 years working experience in analytical roles
  • Experience in a healthcare, insurance or biomedical science an advantage.

Technical skills

  • Proficiency in SQL or other equivalent database querying language
  • Experience with data visualization tools, especially Power BI
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software or programming languages, or machine learning basics an advantage

Soft skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
  • Effective communications skills to present data insights to non-technical business users
  • Ability to work independently and adaptability in a dynamic fast-paced environment
