The Head WRB Finance Malaysia is a core member of the country WRB and Malaysia Finance management team and the lead for all finance performance management for WRB Malaysia.
This would include overseeing the financial performance and management reporting for the WRB business – ensuring delivery on core strategic and financial objectives. This will include financial performance and reporting and presentation of management team reports, financial controls including month end closing, stress testing, supporting of budget / forecast process. In addition, the role will also support the WRB business strategy, in particular its planning and execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support to the formulation of WRB strategic and medium-term business plans, providing a robust challenge to the businesses and overseeing execution.
Support the optimisation of resource allocation and focus on returns.
To support the delivery and analysis of monthly WRB Management reporting; including collaboration with Country and Group business finance colleagues to provide quality management information to senior management.
To work on analytics for WRB with the support of the business analytics team in providing key performance indicators to improve overall business performance and deliver the strategic objectives.
Finance Advisory
Understand how changes in internal factors (such as changes in credit appetite/FTP, etc.) and external factors (e.g. regulatory changes, macro-economic factors) affect the business performance, shape and proactively manage the impact of changes to improve returns.
Manage data and information support of key strategic business plans, cost efficiency targets and other key initiatives and ensure valuable insights into the drivers of business performance and costs.
Monitor and evaluate the performance, progress and implementation of these key business initiatives, highlight risks, opportunities, and actions needed.
Produce timely management reporting, business performance statistics, and insightful analysis to facilitate business in monitoring performance & planning.
Embed the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct and ensure compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
Identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters as they arise in connection with the role.

Qualifications:
Master/BA in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business – ACCA/CFA/CPA qualification preferred.
10 years + relevant experience in FP&A in Banking.
Education Master/BA degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business – ACCA/CFA/CPA/MBA preferred.
Membership ACCA/CFA/CPA/MIA where applicable.
Languages - English.
