Job Purpose
The Head of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations, policies, and teams for an organization. This role ensures that all physical, cyber, and operational security measures are effectively implemented and maintained to protect the company's assets, personnel, and information. The Head of Security will work closely with senior leadership, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
Security & Risk Management
- Manage appointment of Security Guarding & Cash-In-Transit services.
- Ensure and manage service agreements for rendered services are appropriately executed.
- Monitor performance of security guarding services at Head Office and branches nationwide.
- Manage urgent repairs of CCTV & alarms with vendor assistance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on relocation or renovation, including installation and upgrading of alarm and CCTV systems at branches and off-site ATMs.
- Coordinate with stakeholders during incidents of robbery or vandalism.
- Determine security system requirements at branches nationwide based on BNM guidelines and industry best practices.
- Prepare budgets related to security systems, surveillance, and parking operations.
Contract Management
- Monitor and manage Security Guarding and Cash-In-Transit services at branches and Head Office.
- Ensure quality service delivery to internal and external customers.
- Respond to stakeholder concerns regarding security services.
Customer Service
- Ensure quality service to internal and external customers.
- Address stakeholder concerns related to security services.
Team Management
- Manage discipline among security team members and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures.
- Participate in training to enhance knowledge and skills.
Others
- Ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.
- Maintain proper document filing and archiving.
- Keep records and registers updated as per guidelines.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by relevant senior officers.
Skills/Knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant professional security certifications are an advantage.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex security issues clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Expertise in managing crisis situations.
- Knowledge of modern security systems, surveillance, and access control technologies.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills across organizational levels.
- Proficiency in office software, security management software, and basic IT systems.
