Job description

Acotec Sdn Bhd is looking for the Head of Sales & Marketing for the central region, who will be responsible for the planning and effective implementation of the Company’s Sales and Marketing programs. The individual will develop new business opportunities and provide technical advice and/or assistance to customers, prospects, and authorized agents appointed by the company.

The job scope entails:

  1. Responsible for achieving sales results in accordance with set targets for Head, Sales & Marketing.
  2. Assist in providing positive leadership, training, supervising, and motivating the sales team in the assigned region to achieve regional product sales targets.
  3. Collect sales and marketing information and identify business opportunities.
  4. Provide feedback to Management on customers' needs, trends affecting the company's products, and actions taken by competitors.
  5. Attend to sales inquiries, furnish product information (e.g., usage, application, price movements), arrange site visits and sales demonstrations, and follow up with prospects until closing sales.
  6. Provide services to appointed authorized agents in the region.
  7. Provide coaching, guidance, and feedback to staff regarding their work performance.
  8. Prepare sales forecasts and reports for meetings and management review.
  9. Assist the CEO in building and maintaining a high-performance culture through effective performance management, communication, and coaching.
  10. Visit project sites to resolve issues and make improvement recommendations.
  11. Participate in strategic planning and execution with senior management to achieve division goals.
  12. Work closely with all departments to meet division objectives.
  13. Identify opportunities for new and innovative product development and coordinate with Production.
  14. Manage relationships with customers, agents, business partners, and government bodies; develop strong networks.
  15. Develop and manage pricing strategies in consultation with the CEO and/or Director, ensuring alignment with approved profiles.
  16. Develop and grow market share; conduct industry and competitor analysis for improvements.
  17. Responsible for collections and credit control.

You will fit the role if you possess the following:

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years of sales and marketing experience in IBS, concrete pre-cast, or related building materials. Experience with active networks in property development/construction sectors is an advantage.
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines (preferably business, marketing, or engineering).
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal, planning, organizing, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Willing to be based in Jalan Ampang (HQ) and travel as needed.
