HEAD OF TICKETING – TRAVEL, TOURS, HAJJ & UMRAH SERVICES
We are seeking an experienced Ticketing Manager to join us as Head of Ticketing, overseeing our Travel, Tours and Hajj & Umrah ticketing operations. This role requires proven, hands-on experience in Hajj & Umrah ticketing, including managing group bookings, coordinating with airlines, and ensuring smooth operations for pilgrim travel packages.
Responsibilities
- Assist in deploying ticketing strategies for Hajj, Umrah, and travel packages, ensuring efficient airline ticket allocation and optimal use of inventory.
- Manage ticket allocations for pilgrim groups, travel packages, and airline reservations, ensuring compliance with airline and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to the development and optimisation of ticketing systems to improve service delivery for pilgrims and travel clients.
- Regularly evaluate risks associated with ticket inventory, cancellations, or fare fluctuations, and assist in ticketing budget management.
- Act as a liaison with airlines, travel agents, Hajj & Umrah operators, and internal teams to ensure clear communication.
- Maintain accurate ticketing records, group booking allocations, and prepare sales and inventory reports for financial planning and operational review.
- Ensure contractual requirements for travel packages and pilgrim groups are met through effective operational delivery.
- Oversee ticketing operations for pilgrim departures, arrivals, and itineraries, ensuring smooth service from booking to travel completion.
- Monitor ticketing revenue, fare margins, and group allocations to optimize profitability.
- Identify areas for cost reduction and process efficiency within airline ticketing and travel package management.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for Hajj & Umrah operations.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Travel & Tourism, or related field.
- 5–8 years of ticketing experience in Travel & Tours, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Mandatory Hajj & Umrah ticketing experience (group bookings, allocations, and airline liaison).
- IATA License holder.
- Must be proficient in at least one major GDS (Sabre, Galileo, or Amadeus).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with airlines and consolidators.
- Languages: Malay and English (mandatory). Proficiency in Arabic is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
