Head of Supply Chain

Responsibilities:

1. Planning and control of plant-wide production to meet business targets for both Plant (Alcom & ANSC).
2. Work towards achieving all KPI targets (OTD, Production, shipment, etc).
3. Total control of all production-related activities including machine major shutdown plan, OT, Metal requirement (ingot, hardener, etc).
4. Make prompt actions or decisions on metal inventory if there are significant changes in terms of demand and supply.
5. Closely monitor the daily material flow and take appropriate action to address any unforeseen events that may arise.
6. Continuous effort to reduce production lead time, thereby reducing inventory and costs.
7. Coach, train, and guide all planning staff to plan in the most profitable manner (reducing waste).
8. Work on manual systems (without any planning and scheduling tools) for maximizing equipment utilization.
9. Manage day-to-day changes/shortfalls to meet production and shipment targets and urgent requests or changes from customers – with minimal costs incurred.
10. Manage inventory - Keep inventory at the lowest level without jeopardizing supply.
11. Proactively salvage all HFI (Hold for Inspection) materials using all available methods and resources to minimize waste and maximize material recovery.
12. Other duties assigned by the Manager from time to time.

WE WANT SOMEONE WHO:

1. Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering (Others), Logistics/Transportation, or equivalent.
2. At least 10 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
3. Required Skill(s): Planning Skills, Leadership Skills, Communication Skills, Negotiation Skills.
4. Preferably a candidate with 5 years of managerial experience.
5. Proven management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development.
6. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Possess leadership qualities and strong networking, collaboration, and well-developed team-working skills.
