Responsibilities / What we need you to do:
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual new car sales targets.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the purchasing & inventory manager to ensure optimal stock mix (popular models, colors, trims).
- Analyze local market trends, competitor pricing, and promotions to adjust sales tactics.
- Drive finance & insurance (F&I) penetration and collaborate with the F&I manager to maximize profit per deal.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance sales team (Sales consultants, Sales Manager, BDC reps).
- Set individual and team sales targets, commission structures, and performance incentives.
- Conduct daily sales meetings to review leads, follow-ups, and closing strategies.
- Foster a customer-centric sales culture focused on CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index).
Customer & Dealership Operations
- Oversee the sales process from lead generation (walk-ins, phone-ups, digital leads) to delivery.
- Ensure seamless handoff to F&I and Service departments for financing and after-sales support.
- Handle major customer objections and understand their drivers.
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer reps to secure allocations, incentives, and co-op marketing support.
Sales Process & CRM Optimization
- Implement and enforce CRM best practices (lead tracking, follow-up schedules, test drive management).
- Monitor showroom traffic, phone leads, and digital inquiries.
- Ensure quick responses to online leads and optimize digital retailing tools (if applicable).
Financial & Performance Tracking
- Track gross profit per vehicle, front-end/back-end profitability, and incentive payouts.
- Review daily & monthly sales reports, including closing ratios, inventory turnover, and aged stock.
What we need from you:
- Experience: 5+ years in automotive sales, with at least 2-3 years in dealership sales management.
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or higher in Sales and Marketing Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets and improving CSI scores.
- Successful previous experience in sales and marketing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of responsibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Expertise in auto sales negotiations and CRM tools.
- Understanding of regional customer preferences and competitor landscape.
