Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and empower the sales team to consistently achieve performance targets (KPI).
- Deliver ongoing training and support to strengthen sales techniques, deepen knowledge of design concepts, materials, and finishes, and elevate client engagement.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and client qualification through tailored design proposals, mood board presentations, negotiations, and successful contract closures.
- Ensure proposals and presentations communicate design vision effectively, reflecting the firm’s brand identity.
- Review and assess designers’ outputs including 3D renderings, 2D space plans, moodboards, and construction drawings to confirm alignment with client requirements and budget.
- Serve as the key liaison between sales, design, and project management teams, ensuring seamless integration of creative vision, technical execution, and client expectations.
- Provide constructive feedback to the design team to enhance visual impact, storytelling, and clarity of client-facing presentations.
- Anticipate and resolve challenges in the sales process, design deliverables, procurement choices, or client communications swiftly and effectively.
- Prepare and present regular reports to directors on sales performance, pipeline health, client feedback, and market insights specific to the interior design industry.
Qualifications
- Possess an Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven sales experience, ideally within the interior design or related industry.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, with on-site exposure preferred.
- Strong drive and passion for achieving sales success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is essential for effective communication with contractors, suppliers, and site teams, ensuring smooth coordination and problem-solving during projects.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales targets and contributing revenue growth.
- Skilled in negotiation, consultation, presentation (to individuals and groups), relationship building, strategic prospecting, lead generation, product knowledge, and time management.
- A keen eye for interiors and design will be considered as an advantage.
- MUST possess their own transport.
- This is an office based role.
