Job description

Oversee all the retail outlets. The number of retail outlets may increase gradually with the company’s expansion plan and business growth. You will take on a leadership role to drive sales and overall P&L impact for the business in alignment with business objectives. You will lead, guide, and manage day-to-day operations and relationships with the retail team to strengthen overall revenue growth and achieve business goals.

This position requires the ability to lead a team effectively, develop and implement sales strategies, set performance goals, control OPEX, conduct market research and customer surveys/feedback, liaise with vendors, plan inventory and stock replenishment, evaluate the sales performance of each outlet, and maintain detailed records for analysis and action. You will also be responsible for weekly/monthly/yearly reporting, employee management, recruitment, performance evaluation, and coaching of the sales team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead and manage overall retail/outlet sales and operation activities and oversee the performance of all retail staff.

Provide leadership and direction to outlet managers and sales teams, ensuring alignment with company goals.

Monitor and analyse the sales performance of each outlet to ensure achievement of targets.

Initiate and execute promotional activities to boost sales in retail outlets.

Grow potential sales leads by proposing, implementing, and evaluating outlet-level activities.

Maintain awareness of market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

Recognise and analyse consumer buying trends and forecast future patterns.

Oversee the day-to-day administration functions of all retail outlets.

Manage the selling floor, ensure housekeeping and stock displays are well-maintained.

Replenish stock and ensure healthy and accurate stock levels across all outlets.

Initiate best stock management practices to minimise out-of-stock incidents and stock loss.

Ensure outlets are well-maintained and uphold the company’s brand image.

Ensure compliance with the company’s SOPs in all outlet operations.

Maintain and control display products in excellent condition.

Address and resolve customer queries and complaints effectively.

Manage manpower planning and scheduling across outlets.

Conduct regular performance appraisals and identify training needs to support staff development and career progression.

Ensure staff are trained to respond to customer complaints with professionalism and urgency.

Foster a positive team environment and maintain strong internal communication.

Ensure sufficient manpower coverage at all outlets at all times.

Monitor staff attendance, performance, and discipline, and provide necessary training support.

Continuously improve professional knowledge through workshops, reading, and networking.

Contribute to the broader team by accomplishing related tasks and participating in company-wide projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualification: Hold a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar capacity managing retail sales and operations. Ideally, with exposure to an FMCG environment.

Skills: Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication and leadership skills, thrive in matrix environments and are adept at building relationships with different stakeholders.

Possess a positive and sales-driven attitude.

Ability to work independently and act with integrity and professionalism.

Knowledge of retail management best practices.

An analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles.

Strong influence and negotiation skills.

Knowledge of business financial analysis and P&L management.

Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced working environment.

High level of attention to detail, including a proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Creative and strategic thinker with a strong customer orientation.
