Job description

The Head of Order to Cash is responsible for leading and driving the strategic and operational performance of the end-to-end OTC function, which includes order management, billing, collections, cash application, credit control, and customer master data. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, strong governance, cash flow optimization, and exceptional customer experience across the OTC cycle.

The ideal candidate will lead a high-performing team, ensure standardization and automation, and act as a key business partner to commercial, finance, and operations stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership
  • Lead the global/regional OTC function covering multiple markets/entities.

  • Design and implement the OTC strategy aligned with SSC/GBS transformation goals.

  • Set performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement, automation, and process excellence.

  • Provide leadership and oversight to all OTC sub-functions: order processing, billing, AR, collections, cash application, credit control, and disputes.


Process Management & Governance
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, audit requirements (e.g., SOX), and external regulatory/tax standards.

  • Establish and monitor global OTC process standards, SLAs, and internal controls.

  • Manage risk areas such as credit exposure, customer disputes, and bad debts proactively.


Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a key partner to commercial, supply chain, legal, and finance business leaders to support revenue realization and working capital goals.

  • Lead governance meetings with business stakeholders to review performance, risks, and improvement actions.

  • Serve as the escalation point for high-impact client or operational issues.


People & Talent Development
  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional team across markets or hubs.

  • Drive talent development, succession planning, and team engagement.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.


Technology, Transformation & Automation
  • Champion the implementation of ERP upgrades, OTC automation tools and digital dashboards.

  • Lead or support global finance transformation initiatives involving OTC process redesign or migration.


Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA or professional qualification (ACCA, CPA) preferred.

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in finance shared services or multinational environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity managing end-to-end OTC.

  • Proven track record of transforming OTC processes across regional or global scopes.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and finance digital tools

  • Analytical, strategic, and hands-on; able to operate in both detail and big picture.
