Role Purpose
The Head of National Commodity Supply Chain is responsible to lead the development and execution of our national commodity operations. This role is responsible for building a scalable supply chain system, fulfilling customer demand, and driving profitability through effective supply chain design.
Job Description
- Develop and implement a national commodity supply chain framework, ensuring alignment with the company’s international business strategy and operational standards.
- Lead end-to-end coordination of commodity lines at the national level, ensuring timely and cost-effective fulfillment of overseas customer orders while optimizing profit margins.
- Establish and manage a high-performing national commodity organization, including recruitment, team structure planning, onboarding, performance management, and capability development.
- Design integrated supply chain solutions that incorporate cross-border and domestic logistics, leveraging industry insights and regional characteristics to meet diverse customer requirements.
- Define and execute sales and pricing strategies to meet revenue and margin goals. Regularly review market dynamics and operational costs to optimize pricing and maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in supply chain or commodity management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in cross-border logistics or multinational business operations is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale supply chain projects and manage distributed teams.
- Strong analytical skills and business sense, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience working with overseas customers and partners.
- Proficiency in supply chain tools and systems. Familiarity with Workday or ERP platforms is an advantage.
- Fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written) required.
