Overview:

The Head of Management Information System (MIS) will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of all management information systems within the company. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to align MIS initiatives with the company's overall business objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for the effective use of management information systems to support business goals and objectives.
• Development and Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of MIS solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of various departments within the company.
• Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in MIS, evaluate their potential impact on the company, and make recommendations for adoption or integration.
• Leadership: Manage a team of MIS professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to identify MIS needs, prioritize projects, and ensure alignment with overall business strategies.
• Data Management: Oversee the collection, storage, and analysis of data to generate actionable insights and support decision-making processes across the organization.
• Risks Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to MIS, including data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Stakeholders Management: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, including negotiation of contracts, service level agreements, and performance monitoring.
• Cost Control: Develop and manage the MIS department budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and effectively.
• Development: Provide training and development opportunities for MIS staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing management information systems within a retail or similar industry.
• Strong understanding of retail business processes and operations.
• In-depth knowledge and proficiency in JEMiSys will be an added advantage.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid technical knowledge of MIS technologies, databases, software development, and data analysis tools.
• Ability to think strategically and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
