Position Overview:
  • Team Size: 5
  • Salary Range: RM 17,000 - RM 20,000

Oversee all the company's legal matters and provide legal advice to ensure compliance with operational legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop the company's legal strategies and ensure legal compliance.
  • Advisory Role: Advise management and department heads on a broad range of legal and compliance matters.
  • Legal Support: Provide legal advice and support on issues such as legal, contractual, litigation, commercial law, and adherence to statutory or regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify legal risks proactively and offer advice on all corporate operational legal matters to ensure compliance.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on new laws and regulations applicable to the company, and initiate necessary changes impacting business operations.
  • Research and Evaluation: Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Document Handling: Review, negotiate, and draft all types of arrangements, contracts, legal documents, etc.
  • External Liaison: Liaise with external parties and lawyers on legal matters.
  • Culture of Compliance: Promote and facilitate a culture of compliance across the company.
  • Integrity and Responsibility: Conduct work with integrity and responsibility.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake ad-hoc duties and assignments as required.
Key Requirements:
  • Corporate Law Expertise: Key exposure to corporate law and knowledge of corporate legal issues.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills and sound legal judgment to support business needs.
  • Business Judgment: Excellent business judgment, agility, and strategic thinking.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Document Skills: Strong in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial documents.
