Qualifications

Lead and manage overall laboratory operations to ensure 24/7 readiness and high-quality diagnostic services.

Oversee workflow optimization, KPI tracking (TAT, productivity, client satisfaction), and continuous service improvement.

Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory, and accreditation standards (e.g., ISO 15189, MSQH, JCI).

Drive quality assurance and patient safety through strong QA/QC systems, audits, SOP reviews, and risk management practices.

Lead and develop the laboratory team including manpower planning, training, performance appraisal, and professional development.

Manage departmental budgeting, procurement, inventory, and technology upgrades to ensure cost-effective operations.

Collaborate with clinicians and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and respond to feedback or escalations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in biomedical science or Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a clinical laboratory, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).

Strong knowledge of regulatory, accreditation (MS ISO 15189, MSQH, JCI etc.), certification (MS ISO 9001 etc.) and laboratory operational frameworks.
