Responsibilities:
    Job Purpose:The Head of IT is responsible for managing the entire IT development and operations within the country, ensuring compliance with IT security policies and standards, and supporting the Group IT Strategy and IT operations under the Group CTO function. This role will functionally report to the Group CTO and entity report to the country COO/CEO.Key Responsibilities:1. IT Security Compliance:
  • Comply with the IT Security Policy and Standards.
  • Take necessary precautionary measures to safeguard information and facilities.
  • Promptly report all security incidents to management to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
  • 2. IT Development and Operations Management:
  • Manage the entire IT development and operations within the country.
  • Define a technical vision and strategy for development methodologies.
  • Drive improvements in development practices for efficient delivery.
  • 3. Knowledge and Best Practices Sharing:
  • Enable knowledge, best practices, and skills sharing across teams.
  • Ensure people's capabilities are continuously updated for development work.
  • 4. Resource Optimization:
  • Optimize resource use through capacity planning and effective resource allocation.
  • Build a retention and development plan for key talents in the department.
  • 5. Team Leadership:
  • Build, motivate, and lead a high-performing development team to strive towards the company's business direction.
  • Set challenging team and individual objectives, have clear expectations about required performance levels, reward successes, and address performance issues quickly.
  • 6. Strategic Vision and Planning:
  • Work with the senior management team to define and set a vision for the department.
  • Develop a plan to achieve the end goals and be accountable for decisions, issues, etc., in the short, medium, and longer-term.
  • 7. Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Oversee the company's software/hardware procurement.
  • Lead, manage, and monitor IT servers and systems.
  • Involved in negotiating vendor contracts.
  • 8. Policy and Budget Management:
  • Develop and monitor department policies and budget.
  • Oversee the team's resolution of issues from help desk escalations.
  • 9. Hiring and Talent Management:
  • Involved in hiring internally and externally in the IT department.
  • Build a retention and development plan for key talents in the department.
  • 10. Regional and Group Coordination:
  • Involve in all IT security functions in the country office.
  • Report to HQ IT Group in Singapore.
  • Participate in HQ IT management on IT proposals and progress reporting that involves all regional IT heads.
