Are you a visionary ICT leader ready to make a difference in healthcare? We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of ICT to join our hospital’s senior leadership team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, implementation, and management of all Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems across the hospital.

You’ll play a vital role in aligning technology with healthcare excellence—ensuring the reliability, security, and innovation of ICT infrastructure, systems, and services.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning

1. Develop and implement a robust ICT strategy aligned with hospital goals.
2. Oversee ICT budgeting and resource planning to deliver cost-effective solutions.
3. Identify and manage IT risks while ensuring data security and confidentiality.
4. Establish and enforce policies for IT usage and security.

Management & Operations

1. Lead and manage the ICT department, including recruitment, training, and staff performance.
2. Maintain and support all IT systems, hardware, software, and infrastructure.
3. Oversee the implementation and optimization of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
4. Manage data storage, backups, and ensure system integrity and availability.

Compliance & Security

1. Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy and security standards.
2. Develop and maintain a strong IT security framework.
3. Implement incident response strategies and monitor IT security threats and vulnerabilities.

Stakeholder Engagement

1. Act as the ICT liaison across hospital departments and external vendors.
2. Stay current with ICT trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
3. Provide expert guidance and support to hospital teams on ICT matters.
4. Contribute to procurement decisions for ICT-related equipment and services.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in senior-level ICT roles, ideally within healthcare.
3. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
4. In-depth knowledge of IT systems, networks, cybersecurity, and EMR systems.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage complex IT projects and budgets.
6. Familiarity with healthcare IT regulations and standards.
