We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Head of Global Trade Solutions (GTS) Product Risk, Malaysia.

Role Profile

As a core product and solutions capability, HSBC GTS serves clients globally. We seek an experienced individual for this Product Risk role, based in Malaysia, reporting to the Regional Head of GTS Product Risk and the Head of GTS, Malaysia.

The responsibilities include:

• Being the primary contact for all first-line risk management matters in GTS Malaysia, managing financial and non-financial risks, including credit risk, financial crime, regulatory risk, legal, resilience, people, model, and tax risks.
• Effectively identifying, managing, and escalating risk issues, ensuring compliance with Global FIM, GOPs, and regional guidance.
• Embedding a strong risk-aware culture in Malaysia, guiding in-country teams on global policies, control points, and risk management strategies.
• Managing all areas of GTS Product Risk, including Non-Financial Risk, Transaction Risk Management, and Quality Assurance.
• Collaborating with various departments within GTS and CIB to mitigate risks and maximize portfolio returns.
• Overseeing GTS facilities and leading TRM and Controls Office functions.
• Aligning portfolio risk appetite with business risk appetite through monitoring, reporting, and addressing key risks.
• Contributing to new initiatives, propositions, and business planning in Malaysia.
• Leading the Operational Risk Programme in Malaysia.
• Participating as a member of the Regional GTS Product Risk leadership team to shape the function’s strategic goals.
