Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Direction: Guide and motivate the Bursary/Student Finance Unit
• Lead initiatives to enhance processes and systems related to Bursary/Student Finance.
• Oversee the Accounts Receivables team.
• Head the implementation of the Student Management System project.
• Review and manage SMS fee setups and scholarship/discount tagging.
• Ensure the team delivers accurate daily, weekly, and monthly closing reports.
• Standardize and review financial processes and controls across the group.
• Serve as the main contact for external and internal auditors.
• Handle escalations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Set and manage team KPIs, SLAs, and deliverables.
• Assess and develop team members, create succession plans, and drive performance.
• Lead the integration and transition Finance Department.
• Provide data-driven insights to assist the CFO in strategic planning.
• Offer financial advice and analysis to KLMUC and CC Leadership.
• Work with the FP&A team to develop financial plans and forecasts.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages and other financial deliverables.
• Participate in corporate exercises and finance special projects like mergers, acquisitions, and e-invoicing implementation.

Key Requirements

• At least 8–10 years of experience in finance operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior or leadership role in a higher education organisation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications are advantageous).
• Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and team deliverables to ensure high-quality performance.
• Foster a performance-oriented culture and enhance the skills of the Bursary team for future growth.
• Extensive experience in student finance or fee management, preferably in higher education or shared services.
• Proven ability to manage large-scale projects, lead teams, and collaborate across functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
