A leading company seeks a Financial Controller to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will oversee finance operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and support strategic decision-making while leading a finance team. Candidates must have a degree in Accountancy or Finance with at least 3 years in senior management, preferably in retail.

Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's overall business objectives
Assist the CEO and COO in preparing and monitoring the strategic business plan.
Provide analysis of financial and accounting information, cashflow projections, and budgetary control.
Establish strong control procedures to improve accounting and reporting systems.
Monitor the financial performance of the company against budget and project costing and implement appropriate action plans to address any issues accordingly.
Review capital expenditure and investment proposals and make recommendation to Management and Board of Directors.
Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of monthly financial and management reports for submission to the relevant parties, in compliance with BNM and local regulatory requirements.
Managing the accounts and finance team, providing leadership and mentorship
Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies
Identifying and mitigating financial risks, and implementing appropriate controls
Advising the executive team on financial matters and supporting strategic decision-making
Collaborating with other departments to integrate financial considerations into business planning
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers and other relevant professional parties on treasury and financial matters.
Requirement:
Candidate must possess at least a degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or Finance CPA, ACCA, CIMA or professional certification from any recognized accounting bodies.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior management role, preferably for any Retails Industry.
Strong knowledge in accounting, costing, taxation and internal control.
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong leadership qualities, interpersonal and ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.
High level of written and oral communication skills in English is expected, Mandarin speaker will be added advantages.
High integrity with good analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work under pressure and tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.
Experience in MNC and Public Listed company with understanding of Bursa Listing Requirements and/or prior experience with listed companies will be an advantage.
Proven management skill,financial planning, reporting, and analysisin a group of companies.
Experience in corporate finance (fund raising, negotiating and arranging financing facilities) is preferred.
Proficient in using financial software and data analysis tool
