Pink Rubus is an indie skincare brand specializing in sunscreen, designed for modern consumers who care about effective sun protection, skin sensitivity, and clean formulations. We’re building a brand that blends education, fun, and innovation, with a strong focus on digital marketing and e-commerce.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Online Marketing to build our digital presence. This role is crucial in shaping Pink Rubus’ brand identity, growing our community, and ensuring our marketing efforts convert into sales. You will oversee digital strategy, performance marketing, social media, influencer collaborations, and content marketing across target markets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with founders in the pre-launch stage to develop and execute Pink Rubus’ online marketing strategy from scratch, including brand positioning, content strategy, and customer acquisition.
  2. Collaborate with design and content teams to maintain a consistent, engaging brand presence.
  3. Establish and grow our social media presence (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) to build excitement before launch.
  4. Plan and run pre-launch campaigns (e.g., waitlists, giveaways, teaser content) to generate early brand awareness.
  5. Set up and manage performance marketing (Meta Ads, Google Ads) to test and optimize early traction.
  6. Work closely with product and e-commerce teams to build a seamless digital sales funnel for launch.
  7. Post-launch, develop and execute a data-driven digital marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, engagement, and e-commerce sales.
  8. Lead social media strategy and ensure engaging content and community management.
  9. Oversee performance marketing (paid social, Google Ads, retargeting) to optimize ROI and CAC.
  10. Implement SEO and content marketing, ensuring Pink Rubus becomes an authority in suncare.
  11. Monitor and analyze marketing KPIs, using insights to refine strategies and improve conversions.
  12. Stay ahead of digital trends and consumer behavior in beauty and skincare.

Key Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience in digital marketing. Proven track record in DTC brand building and e-commerce marketing, ideally in beauty or skincare.
  2. Someone excited about building a brand from zero—this is not a plug-and-play role; you’ll be crafting the strategy from the ground up.
  3. A self-motivated and entrepreneurial individual who enjoys the challenges of figuring out the ‘unknown’ and carries a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  4. Strong knowledge of Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, and email marketing automation.
  5. Experience in social media marketing and management, especially in the beauty/skincare industry.
  6. Hands-on experience in performance marketing, social media growth, and influencer collaborations.
  7. Not afraid to speak out and think outside the box. Challenge the industry norm and be creative!
  8. Self-starter with ability to work independently and meet deadlines given this is a fully flexible/remote role.
