Manulife is seeking a Head of Agency Training to lead training initiatives for its agency force in Malaysia. The position involves aligning training goals with organizational objectives, designing comprehensive programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will lead a team, mentor trainers, and support leaders in building distribution networks. A Bachelor's degree and extensive experience in the Life Insurance sector are required. The Opportunity
The Head of Agency Training is responsible for leading the functions of training and education of the agency force. The role involves overseeing all training functions for Manulife's Agency force, including identifying needs, designing and implementing programs, managing trainers, evaluating effectiveness, aligning initiatives with business goals, and collaborating with departments for optimal agent and agency development. Working closely with CAO he/she will oversee the development and implementation of the longer-term strategicdirection for Agency Training to ensure alignment with business goals, in addition to achieving results in the short term
Position Responsibilities:
Align and implement organizational, divisional, and Manulife Business Academy objectives and policies.
Collaborate with leadership to identify skill gaps and communicate training plans.
Conceptualize and translate key business drivers into training content focused on personaldevelopment, leadership, and branding.
Design and develop comprehensive training programs and leverage technology to enhance learning effectiveness.
Plan, develop, and execute training programs, including scheduling, logistics, and participantmanagement.
Oversee delivery quality and ensure programs meet targets and adhere to regulatoryrequirements.
Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
Research and compile best practices and regulatory changes to stay relevant.
Manage the training budget, allocate resources effectively, and maximize return on investment.
Promote training programs through various communication methods and the Learning Management System.
Recruit, train, and mentor trainers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Coach and support leaders and sales managers to build strong distribution networks.
Explore and implement new learning technologies and digital platforms to enhance trainingexperiences.
Create digital content and virtual platforms to optimize business productivity
Manage the implementation and execution of training projects and initiatives assigned by leadership.
Assign, manage, and enhance training modules to meet evolving business needs
Undertake any initiatives assigned by the CAO to support the success of the Agency channel.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
Minimum of 15 years of related experience in Life Insurance industry, especially in agency training, leadership, coaching related
Ability to maintain a macro view and identify problems and opportunities, and develop practical solutions.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Strong Computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
Results oriented with strong timeline management capabilities.
Excellent stakeholders management and interpersonal skills
Resourceful with a strong aptitude for problem solving
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Proficient in both written and verbal communication in English.
Strong understanding of the regulatory and competitive landscape, with established networkingcapabilities
