Job summary

Prudential Hong Kong Limited in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Actuarial Model Validator to join the Group Risk and Compliance function. The role focuses on independent validation of key models used across the group and collaboration with actuarial and risk teams.

You will lead validation for critical models, engage with Group Actuarial, Internal Audit and regulators, and deliver timely validation updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with at least 5 years PQE in life insurance or risk management.
• Experience in actuarial model testing, validation or audit preferred.
• Understanding of insurance revenue accounts, balance sheet and capital calculations.
• Ability to engage with Group Actuarial, Internal Audit and external regulators.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the validation process for actuarial models, including terms of reference and findings.
• Support validation papers for TAC and Board/GRC; provide opinions on model changes.
• Develop and standardize the validation framework and process improvements.
• Lead a small Kuala Lumpur team responsible for critical model validation.
