Job summary

Prudential is seeking an experienced actuary to lead the Model Risk and Validation Center of Excellence in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee validation of critical actuarial models used for valuation, capital reporting and pricing, ensuring independent assurance for governance committees and regulators.

The role combines technical validation expertise with people management and stakeholder engagement, driving standardization and efficient validation practices across Prudential’s Group functions.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary with at least 5 years PQE in life insurance or risk management.
• Experience in actuarial model testing, validation or audits.
• Understanding of insurance revenue accounts and capital calculations.
• Knowledge of valuation techniques for life insurance products.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• People management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee actuarial model validation process from terms of reference to findings.
• Support validation of models used for valuation, capital reporting and new business pricing.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses to support senior management decisions.
• Contribute to Deep Dive reviews related to critical models.
• Prepare model validation papers for the TAC and Board/GRC.
• Produce the Group-wide model validation update report.
• Manage a Kuala Lumpur team delivering validation objectives.
