A leading company in Subang Jaya seeks a Head of Accounts to lead financial and management reporting while ensuring statutory compliance. The candidate will manage a team, oversee financial operations, and implement process improvements, making a significant contribution in a dynamic environment.

Review and analyse monthly and yearly management reports.
Ensure timely submission of reports to management and audit teams.
Oversee weekly/monthly sales reporting and provide insights to business units.

Oversee weekly/monthly sales reporting and provide insights to business units.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of audited accounts and tax computations.
Oversee transfer pricing documentation and manage tax audits or investigations.
Ensure compliance with the Companies Act and relevant regulations.
Monitor cash flow and debtors; recommend actions for fund placements, drawdowns, etc.
Oversee year-end stock take and liaise with operations to ensure inventory accuracy.
Implement and monitor financial controls and risk management measures.
Lead, guide and mentor a team. Manage a group of local and overseas entities.
Allocate tasks, provide training, and monitor staff performance.
Cultivate teamwork and support staff development through coaching and recognition.
Drive system improvements including Power BI and ERP usage.
Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and compliance.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial system processes.
Monitor and reduce operational costs, including printing and document handling.
Highlight cost changes and propose alternatives to management.
Work closely with Sales, Operations, Logistics, Purchasing, and IT teams.
Support decision-making related to credit control, budgeting, supplier issues, and system security.
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or equivalent professional body (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ICAEW).
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with at least 8 years in a managerial role overseeing a department of similar scale.
Proven experience in audit, taxation, costing, company secretarial matters, and banking operations.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (minimum 2 years), including implementation, process control, and reporting.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Sound knowledge of statutory compliance, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
Able to work under pressure.
