Job Opportunity: Head, Digital & Technology Innovation

We are looking for a visionary leader to join UEM Sunrise Berhad as Head of Digital & Technology Innovation. This pivotal role will shape and lead our digital, technology, and innovation strategy to transform the organization into a digital-first enterprise. The role focuses on driving operational excellence, enhancing customer experience, and enabling business growth through technology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership

• Define and implement a comprehensive digital and technology roadmap aligned with corporate goals.
• Champion innovation and digital transformation across the organization.
• Lead initiatives across five pillars: Enterprise Applications, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & IT Governance, Innovation & Analytics, and Front-End & Strategic Initiatives.

2. Enterprise Application Management

• Oversee the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of systems including ERP, CRM, and project management tools (e.g., Terator, Estate Master).
• Align applications with business needs and digital objectives.

3. Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Drive cloud, network, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure secure, efficient, and high-performance IT services and support.

4. Cybersecurity & IT Governance

• Lead cybersecurity initiatives including policies, operations, and awareness programs.
• Maintain governance through risk assessments, policy enforcement, and framework adherence (e.g., SPA, Cyberdrills).

5. Innovation & Analytics

• Foster innovation through programs such as Design Thinking and Hackathons.
• Lead Big Data architecture and analytics projects to drive business insights.

6. Front-End & Strategic Initiatives

• Manage development and security of scalable front-end applications.
• Oversee strategic projects such as IT centralization, cost optimization, and tech partnerships (e.g., AR, Metaverse).

7. Ad Hoc Duties

• Support other tasks and initiatives as directed by Management.

What We’re Looking For

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• 15–20 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation at scale.

Skills & Competencies

• Deep expertise in ERP, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, IT governance, and analytics.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
