JOB PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE
Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the Group Corporate Planning team's activities to deliver the initiatives in the Group’s annual corporate plan. This role shall further be responsible for the Group’s digital track initiatives, development of digital strategies for monetization, and other digital initiatives that will be essential in the Group’s digital journey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Group Corporate Planning Initiatives Management
- Develop and maintain a yearly list of key strategic initiatives
- Initiates and coordinates the development of the annual Group Business Plan and Budget
- Coordinate and collaborate across the organization to contribute to the development of business strategies/plans
- Partner with all business divisions to ensure strategic business cases and plans are robust and aligned to the overall Group’s business goals.
- Help facilitate decision-making during discussions and coordinate follow-through on important takeaway items.
- Analysis and presentation of data related to strategy execution to support Senior Management and Board decision making
- Participate in financial analysis, developing potential new investments, ventures and business relationships.
- Provide senior management with concise reporting and insightful analysis.
- Evaluation of business ideas / investments.
- Competitors analysis and benchmark.
- Reconcile top-down & bottom-up department plans to division plans.
- Provide advice / recommendations that promote investors’ confidence while taking into consideration enterprise wide risks, meet rules and regulations, financial viability and align to the Group’s business objectives.
Investor Relations Management
- Organisation of roadshows and press briefings on financial results.
- Undertake tasks that involve interpreting and analyzing data related to the Group that may affect shareholders. This includes any analysis ranging from internally sourced data regarding the Group’s periodic financials to trends found by third-party analysts about the industry as a whole.
- Responsible for building financial valuation and creating financial models to form a view on the company’s share price or turn data into information that can be populated into corporate investor relations presentation.
- Information preparation such as annual report and corporate profiles involve consolidating relevant material based on the need of the user (whether it’s current investors, third party analysts, management, etc.), and summarizing it into a comprehensible manner.
- Creation and/or upkeep of the Group’s information database, so that investment information is readily available at times of future needs.
Digital Initiatives Feasibility Studies
- To generate financial feasibility studies and recommendations for newly identified digital projects which entails the following:
- Generate market feasibility studies and recommendations for newly identified digital projects, including SWOT or peer comparison analysis
- Evaluation viability of digital business proposals brought to the group
- Perform financial projections as and when required.
Group Digital Strategies and Digital Funding Initiatives
- Establishing methodologies to formulate Group’s digital strategies, identifying new digital products / services and evaluating their viability, and implementing these digital solutions to meet global customer needs through digital means. The formulation includes but not limited to achieve commercialization purpose or monetization of these strategies, which may involve setting up of a fintech fund and fund raising.
- Provides valuable and constructive action plans on projects.
- Identify digital technology trends for implementation within the group
- Future: Set-up, lead and implement group’s new digital initiatives (e.g. Digital Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, Data Analytics, Strategic Marketing for Digital Products, etc).
Project Management and Corporate Exercise
Corporate Exercise / Project
- Provides professional advice on economic analysis and other studies for all corporate projects and activities within the Group
- Drive the Group’s corporate exercises and funding
- Develop financial models for forecasting and project analysis
- Manage other special projects that are assigned
Digital Project
- Provides valuable and constructive action plans on projects
- Develop business plan proposals for new digital projects
- Supervise & monitor the implementation of the project until the execution of the new digital business unit or initiative
- Oversee project management and coordination for each new digital project (product basis) which includes the following:
1) Regulatory and approvals, including coordinating with compliance/risk management departments to ensure that the new digital business/initiatives are in compliance with regulators, as well as, completing and submitting the regulatory applications
2) Legal agreements, including negotiations and refinement of agreements between parties involved Recruitment, including setting up the organization structure and Role Profiles required as well as Financials, including sensitivity and scenario analysis
3) Other coordination/management includes Marketing, Customer relationship management, as well as, Operations & IT – this will be a coordination with the Digital Incubator Technology division
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Finance related discipline
- Min 10 years relevant experience
- Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) - Well-versed with existing and new rules relating to corporate exercises.
